Cheyenne Police has issued an accident alert, with details from Doug Randall HERE.

Stay safe.

Make sure your vehicle is ready with a shovel, window scraper, windshield washer fluid, small broom, snacks, blankets, extra coats, matches, first aid kit, tow chain or rope, booster cables, and salt, sand or kitty litter for traction. Also prepare by checking your antifreeze, battery, charging system, heater & defrosters, thermostat, windshield wipers and good winter tires.

For your home, make sure hoses are disconnected from outside faucets, learn how to shut off the main water supply in case of a line burst. Have proper insulation, seal around doors and windows, and make sure you have emergency food supplies. Have a fire extinguisher as a lot of people turn to alternative heating methods. Make sure furnace filters are clean and that chimneys are clean and clear.

Those are some places to start as the cold weather settles into Wyoming.
