Around Cheyenne, we see and hear the C-130's flying overhead, in Washington D.C. yesterday crowds were thrilled to see the Space Shuttle Discovery atop a modified 747 flying around the nation's Capitol.

For 45-minutes yesterday, April 17, the pair flew past iconic sights like the Washington Monument, the White House and the Smithsonian's original Air and Space Museum.

Space Shuttle Discovery was headed to it's new home at the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia.Discovery blasted into space 39 times, more than any other NASA space craft. It's final resting place will be in the new museum near Dulles Airport in Washington D.C.

Space Shuttle Enterprise will ride aboard a 747 on Monday, April 23, to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York where it will be on display. Enterprise was NASA's first Space Shuttle.
