Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce President and C-E-O Dale Steenburgen says preliminary indications are that this year’s Cheyenne Frontier Days should draw big crowds.

Steenburgen says he has been in touch with hotels and other travel-related businesses about inquiries and reservations, as well as Frontier Days officials about advance ticket sales. He says the overall impression is that the ”Daddy of ‘em all” should do quite well in terms of overall attendance  this year. Steenburgen says the recent decline in gas prices is likely to boost attendance as well.

According to official figures, CFD last year drew over a quarter of a million people, including gate admissions. The event raised $11.6 Million in revenue from activities at Frontier Park in 2011. Steenburgen says Frontier Days is “like a second Christmas” for many local merchants.
