Stevie Nicks, whose first CD in ten years comes out today on May 3rd, has had to cancel several performances due to pneumonia and the flu according to her website.

Nicks was scheduled to appear on the "Today Show" and "Good Day NY" on Tuesday and was supposed to perform at an event in her honor thrown by her record company, Reprise Records, at Webster Hall in New York on May 4th. Her doctor informed her over the weekend that she "needed to stay in bed, and not fly" until she gets better.

On her website, The Nicks Fix, she comments "I want to apologize to all my fans and hope that we can reschedule and of course I hope you love the new album. It's for you."

Rolling Stone's review of Nick's new release, "In Your Dreams," calls it her finest collection of songs since the eighties.

Nicks has been on the road with Rod Stewart since March on their Heart and Soul 2011 US tour.
