In the late 70's early 80's the drug of choice for most rock stars was cocaine. It was everywhere. For one member of Fleetwood Mac. It almost took her life. Stevie Nicks says while she and the rest of Fleetwood Mac took drugs in the 70s, her addiction was worse than any of her bandmates'. And her friend Tom Petty reveals her coke habit was so bad, he wouldn’t have been surprised if he got a call telling him she had died. “I did all I could to talk her into getting some help and getting right. I was very worried about her to the point that if the phone did ring and they said, 'Stevie died,' I wouldn't have been surprised." At that dark point in her life Nicks said she was dangerous. “All of us were drug addicts. But there was a point where I was the worst drug addict. I was a girl, I was fragile and I was doing a lot of coke. I had that hole in my nose – so it was dangerous.” She continues: "Had Tom Petty called me up one day and said, ‘If you want to leave Fleetwood Mac to be in the Heartbreakers, there's a place for you,' I might well have done it. Anytime! Today! For the band today. There is not cocaine use. There is a personal trainer. As for the tour:
