Students Encouraged To Participate In “Bring Your Bible To School Day”

Thursday, October 8, students across the country are being encouraged to bring their Bible's to school and talk about it with friends, thus exercising their religious freedoms.

The event is being sponsored by Focus on the Family, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. According to Candi Cushman, Education Analyst for Focus on the Family, students want to be more open about their faith in God in their schools, but "don't know they are allowed to."

Students across all 50 states are expected to partake in the Second Annual Bring Your Bible To School Day. Last year, a reported 8,000 students participated and Ms. Cushman expects that number to more than double this year.
