After a beautiful spring day in southeastern Wyoming on Saturday, the National Weather Service Office in Cheyenne is predicting the return of winter weather for today [March 18] and Monday.

The weather service has posted the following weather statement:

''Snow will return to southeast Wyoming Today west of Cheyenne and Tonight along and east of Interstate 25. Travel will likely be impacted, especially later today into this evening and into the Monday morning commute. Of concern will be areas west of Laramie around the Arlington and Elk Mountain areas starting this morning, and west of Cheyenne along Interstate 80 around the Interstate 80 Summit area between Cheyenne and Laramie this afternoon and evening. Residents planning travel across the region will need to keep a keen eye to later forecasts and alter plans if poor road conditions develop. Those planning recreation trips into the mountains of southern Wyoming will need to be alert for the potential of significantly reduced visibility, heavy snowfall, and wind chill values dropping into the sub-zero ranges tonight."
