Five Rock Springs women have been arrested for stealing items ranging from handguns to valuable coins from a home west of the city last month.

Sweetwater County Sheriff's Department spokesman Dick Blust says the break-in happened at a home on May 2 and was seen by a neighbor.

The witness reported seeing two women in a silver SUV leave the home after breaking in. Blust says investigators used that information along with details from the victim of the robbery to track down the SUV, a Dodge Durango, to an address north of Rock Springs.

Blust says deputies talked to people involved in the crime and eventually tracked down the stolen items, including a  stolen safe, handguns and some collectable coins at a home in Rock Springs.

He says the following women, all Rock Springs residents, have been arrested and charged.
