A 66-year-old Reliance woman is facing meth trafficking charges following her arrest on Wednesday, according to Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell.

Reliance is a small town located just outside of Rock Springs.

Lowell identifies the suspect as Esther Marie Ballinger, who was arrested by sheriff's deputies as well as Rock Springs Police officers and agents with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation after a several week-long investigation.

Investigators say they found a third of an ounce of meth packaged for sale along with cash, records of people who owe money, digital scales and other items commonly associated with meth trafficking.

Ballinger is being charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance.

If convicted on all charges she could be sentenced to a total prison sentence of 27 years and fines of $40,000.
