Air Force Thunderbirds

Have you heard that the Thunderbirds are coming to northern Colorado this weekend? The U.S. Air Force precision aerial demonstration team will perform Saturday and Sunday at Aurora Reservoir as part of this weekend's Rocky Mountain Airshow.

Did you feel like there was something missing from Cheyenne Day this morning? It was way too quiet without the awakening roar of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds overhead. Their annual airshow was cancelled by government budget cuts earlier this year, this marks the first time since 1953 that the jets have been grounded during Cheyenne Frontier Days.

You may not see the Air Force Thunderbirds at Cheyenne Frontier Days this year because of the budget battle in Washington.
