KING’s December ‘Album Side Sunday’ Features Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Wrecking Ball’

What was your favorite new album release of 2012?

We've made it to the last weekend of the year and that means we'll be playing half of an album in the 8 o'clock hour of 'Your Sunday Brunch.'

One of my favorite albums this year was Bruce Springsteen's 'Wrecking Ball' released in March. Rolling Stone magazine named it the Best Album of 2012 and it's nominated for a Best Rock Album Grammy Award in February.

The opening track, 'We Take Care of our Own,' is also nominated for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance Grammy Awards.

Clarence Clemons, E Street Band Saxophonist, Dead at 69

Six days after suffering a massive stroke, saxophone legend and longtime E Street Band member Clarence Clemons has died at the age of 69.

Despite initial reports that Clemons was responding well to treatment – and despite a pair of brain surgeries to repair the damage wrought by the stroke – his condition worsened as the week wore on, and he died on Saturday, June 18.

Legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons, best known for his nearly 40-year tenure with Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, suffered a stroke yesterday at his Florida home.

Official details regarding the severity of the stroke, or Clemons' current condition, have yet to surface; predictably, the rumors have varied wildly, suggesting everything from partial paralysis to unexpectedly encouraging signs of recovery. The initial report, broken by Showbiz411 and confirmed by Rolling Stone, described Clemons as "seriously ill."
