Cheyenne Botanic Gardens Children’s Village Welcomes Six Foot Tall Rabbit

A 6-foot-tall rabbit has arrived at the Paul Smith Children's Village in Lions Park.

The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens has announced the addition of a new sculpture, inspired by the rabbit from 'Alice in Wonderland.'

The sculpture was created by local artist Guadalupe Barajas.

That's one of the things you can find out at the Paul Smith Children's Village tomorrow, June 26.

The Cheyenne Botanic Garden's Children's Village will host two pinwheel workshops, 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., and then participants will test the physical energy needed to create power with their human electric generator.

Kelly Green and the Seven Trash-Talkers Play at Cheyenne Botanic Gardens

The Cheyenne Botanic Garden's Paul Smith Children's Village presents a performance by the Denver Children's Museum at 1 p.m. tomorrow, June 19.

'Kelly Green and the Seven Trash-Talkers' is an interactive, audience participation play about reducing, reusing and recycling.

The show is free as part of Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power's 'Summer of Power' series of programs.

No trees had been planted yet, so settlers heading west used what there was a lot of, grass, to create a shelter.

See a Golden Eagle and Other Raptors Saturday at the Paul Smith Children’s Village

Have you ever seen a Golden Eagle up close?

They are one of the most impressive raptors in the wild. On Saturday you can see a Golden Eagle, a Ferruginous Hawk and an American Kestrel at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens.

The Rocky Mountain Raptor Program from Colorado brings two shows to the Paul Smith Children's Village as the final performance of the Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power Summer of Power series.
