'Your Sunday Brunch' on the first weekend of December's kind of like a Hitchcock film; filled with suspense, intrigue, thrills and surprises.

Please join me from seven until ten for some tasty tidbits.

This is National Waffle Week so grab your syrup and get to ironing some waffles!

It's also a Labor Day weekend, so on 'Your Sunday Brunch' from 7-10 a.m. we'll be playing some working songs, getting ready for some of the great shows in the area and celebrating Friday's Blue Moon.                   

We're going to celebrate Cinco De Mayo, graduation, this weekend's Super Moon, (thanks for the 'Moon' song suggestions), some rock birthdays and we'll play music from some of the bands coming in concert this week.

On February 12, it was music's biggest night, (or biggest award show, anyway), the 54th Annual Grammy Awards broadcast on CBS.

Some of our favorite classic rock artists were nominated for awards and others performed.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band took the stage to open the show and 'The Promise: The Darkness on The Edge of Town Story' won the Grammy for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package, it was competing against Sting's '25 Years' release.

Joe Walsh played on a performance of Paul McCartney's new song "My Valentine." Neil Young was one of four performers paying tribute to McCartney. Fellow Beatle Ringo Starr was a presenter of a Grammy Award.

Weird Al Yankovic's, 'Alpocalypse,' was nominated for Best Comedy Album and 'Perform This Way,' (his parody of Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way'), was up for Best Short Form Music Video. (Neither, unfortunately, took home a trophy)

What was your favorite live show of 2011?

We were fortunate to see more than our usual fair share this year and there were some really good ones, so the choice of "the best" was a tough one.

I'd have to say the Foo Fighters performance at the Pepsi Center is the one that really stands out. They played for more than two-and-a-half hours and returned for a five song encore. Their "Wasting Light" album this year is showing up on a lot of "best of" lists and has been nominated for numerous awards.

The bands opening for Foo Fighters put on quite a show too. Cage The Elephant, out of Bowling Green, Kentucky, have a bright future ahead of them. Their second album called "Thank You, Happy Birthday" came out in January 2011.

Bet you didn't make it to work on Monday morning because the Foo Fighters played until after Midnight, their encore was five songs.

Dave Grohl told the crowd at the beginning of their set that they were going to play for two-and-a-half hours because they have a lot of "*#&@ing songs." And they did, they played all the songs I could think of including; "The Pretender," "Learn To Fly," "Best of You," "Times Like These," "My Hero" and new ones from their Wasting Light album like "Rope" and "Walk."
