Snow and ice are in the forecast for the grounds of the Barrett Building, 2301 Central Avenue, in downtown Cheyenne on Saturday, February 23. It's the 5th annual Wyoming Kids Extreme Ice Festival from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The free event includes lots of activities for children and their families. You are encouraged to bring your sleds and other winter toys to play in the fresh snow.

It's worth the trip to drive to see your favorite band playing at venues across the area, who do you want to see? Two of my favorite musicians, Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, are playing this week with Furthur at two different venues. How many Glass Art Celebrations have you seen? This is the 32nd year the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens in Lions Park have hosted the Glass Art Celebration at their conservatory. Thanks to their sponsors; US Bank, Glass Artists of Wyoming, Cheyenne Beverage Company and Norther Colorado Stained Glass Supply, Wyoming's largest glass art show is free through February 17.
