Brian Lesh, son of former Grateful Dead bass player Phil Lesh, currently plays guitar with his father in their San Rafael, Calif. music venue Terrapin Crossroads. But before that they occasionally jammed together with the late Levon Helm at Helm's famous studio/barn in Woodstock, N.Y., with the last appearance coming in 2010.

One of music's best singing drummers has passed away. Levon Helm died April 19 at the age of 71 after a battle with cancer. He was drummer and vocalist for the Band who backed up Bob Dylan during his 1965 and 1966 tours. Helm was also part of the first Ringo Starr All Starr Band in 1989 along with Clarence Clemons, Dr. John, Rick Danko (his Band-mate), Joe Walsh, Nils Lofgren, Billy Preston, Jim K
