Butterflies Invade the Paul Smith Children’s Village

Have you caught a glimpse of a butterfly yet this Summer? There will be lots of them in Lions Park Tuesday.

Live insects, spiders and other creatures from around the world will invade the Paul Smith Children's Village at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens June 28.

The Butterfly Pavilion from Colorado will present two educational programs at 2 p.m. and again at 3 p.m. They are bringing a section of their butterflies and other creatures to Cheyenne.

KING FM Spins The Birthday Wheel at Superday 2011

Are you going to Superday in Lions Park?

KING FM will be there spinning the Birthday Wheel for prizes from ten until five. Stop by and say hi and win some food from Sonic.

The annual celebration starts early with the 18th Annual Tour De Prairie bicycle races and the 5K and 10K Run and Walk. The Shindig Volleyball Tournament begins at 7:15 a.m. at the Lions Park Softball Field.

There will also be a wide variety of activities for all ages including inflatables, a climbing wall, wagon rides and free canoe and paddle boat rides on Sloans Lake.

Lots of local bands and other entertainment is everywhere and there's also lots and lots to eat.

The Cheyenne Parks and Recreation Department brings back memories of watching movies in the great outdoors with their free movies in the park every Tuesday night throughout the Summer.
