A proposal to expand the Medicaid program in Wyoming was voted down in the Senate Labor, Health and Social Services Committee on Wednesday by a 3-2 margin.
The bill has already passed the Wyoming House, although the House at first voted against the measure on the third reading. It passed on a reconsideration vote.
The bill's primary sponsor, Sen. Anthony Bouchard [R-Laramie County], called the final version of the bill as amended "a joke" and ended up voting against it.
