Have you ever wondered about the history of the rocks of Vedauwoo?

Tonight the Wyoming State Museum kicks off their 2013 Lecture Series with Roger Ludwig discussing the history of Vedauwoo and the Pole Mountain area.

The lecture is free and starts at 7 p.m. in the Barrett Building's Multipurpose room.

You can tonight at the Wyoming State Museum at 7 when author and ultra long distance backpacker Andrew Skurka presents 'Circling Alaska and Yukon: A 4,700 mile 6-month journey by foot, skis and packraft through Big Wilderness.'

How important are horses to our area?

That's the subject of a new exhibit opening at the Wyoming State Museum on May 24.

An opening reception for the exhibit, 'A Horse, Of Course,' is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, in the Multi-Purpose Room of the museum in the Barrett Building at 2301 Central Avenue.

The public is invited and refreshments will be served, including a nacho bar provided by Taco John’s.
