A tentative contract between Laramie County School District#1 and the Cheyenne Teachers Education (CTEA) includes raises for teachers.

LCSD#1 Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources John Lyttle says the agreement includes step increases for teachers. There is also a provision to allocate money for teachers who pay out of pocket money for classroom supplies. But district employees will have to pay more for their retirement funds.

Lyttle says the CTEA will vote on the proposal sometime before May 19th. If they approve the deal the school board will formally consider the proposed contract on May19th.
