Thankful Thursday Gives Away Over $2,000, Raises Over $10,000 For Safe Harbor

The second Thankful Thursday, party for a purpose, of the spring proved to be a fantastic night. Sponsors and patrons helped give away over $2,000 to attendees, and Safe Harbor of Cheyenne collected a check for just over $10,000 to help children in the community.

At Thankful Thursday, attendees have an opportunity to win prizes and cash instantly. Everyone who enters is eligible to receive a free wristband with a number on it, and drawings through the night for different numbers allow the wristband holder to pick at random different prizes.

The grand prize is $500 cash, and this week there were three $500 winners!

The first drawing of the night gave the big money to Jody (pictured above.) She told us beforehand "I never win anything and I've been coming to Thankful for years."

And, not to be out-done, near the end of the night Sparky from Bikers Against Child Abuse also pulled a $500 winner!

On top of the $1500 total instant winnings, patrons also collected money for a card game played many times throughout the night. A $5 buy-in resulted in a $130 grand prize for several winners. Folks also walked away with prizes from Townsquare Media, The D Casino in Las Vegas, and free drinks!

Perhaps the most important note from this Thursday, was the charity of the evening, Safe Harbor of Cheyenne, raised over $10,000!

Thankful Thursday returns March 16 and will raise money for Habitat For Humanity.
