We raised more than $5,000 for the Cheyenne Lions Club last Thursday, and this Thursday we’re at it again--this time raising money for Habitat For Humanity of Laramie County, Inc.

Habitat for Humanity has a mission:  "To build safe and affordable housing." And they've been changing lives here in Cheyenne "One house at a time" for more than 23 years!

Habitat for Humanity strives to eliminate substandard and poverty housing by partnering with the community through donors and volunteers, to build homes for these families.  This year, they're building a home for the Holder family of Cheyenne.

All proceeds from this Thankful Thursday at the Redwood Lounge will help pay for a future home for Kristy, Gabriel and Latycia Holder.

We're now down to 35 Coors Light aluminum bottles  (all have prizes, including one with $500!). You still have a shot to win $100 with the “Central Bank and Trust Thankful Thursday Word of the Week.” Just stop by Central Bank and Trust at 3060 East Lincolnway, just down the street from the Redwood Lounge, and pick up the Word of the Week. If we draw your number and ask you for the Word of the Week card, you’ll win $150!

There’ll be drink specials from Coors and Coors Light, and Justin from LCCC will be selling some tasty lasagna, bread sticks, Caesar salad and dessert, with the proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity.

No charge to get in, just join the party starting at 4:30 p.m.  See you there!
