Will you be helping to count the number of bird species living in our area?

This weekend is the Cheyenne-High Plains Audubon Society's Big Day Bird Count.

On Saturday morning, May 21st, between six and eight participants will meet in the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens parking lot in Lions Park. Usually around 50 to 60 species of birds are counted there.

At 8 a.m. the group will proceed to the Wyoming Hereford Ranch and then to the Grasslands Research Station with access to bird areas normally closed to the public. Participants are asked to bring a lunch and a folding chair.
