One of the fun events in Cheyenne for the summer are seeing movies outside at night  in the park, and free!

Every Tuesday evening in the William N. Brimmer Amphitheater at Lions Park at sundown, the screen is up and the movie begins. Here is this summer’s schedule:

  • June 26, “Despicable Me”
  • July 10, “Soul Surfer”
  • July 17, “The Creature from the Black Lagoon”

  • August 14, “Captain America”
  • August 21, “Kung Fu Panda 2″

The City of Cheyenne Parks & Recreation Department, the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power, KIA of Cheyenne and Optimum have partnered to bring back the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Movies in the Park Series.
The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Movies in the Park series will be held every Tuesday beginning June 5 through August 21, 2012 (No movie on 7/3 or 7/24) – beginning at sundown at the William N. Brimmer Amphitheatre in Lions Park. This is a free event presented by the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center with the movies sponsored by Cheyenne, Light, Fuel & Power, and hosted by the City of Cheyenne Parks & Recreation Department. The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Movies in the Park series is intended to provide high quality family entertainment recalling the days of the “Drive in Movie.” Participants are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and be prepared for changes in weather during these performances. FREE popcorn sponsored by KIA of Cheyenne and provided by First Interstate Bank and Digital Memories LLC plus options to purchase food and beverages from Jackson’s/Pizza Hut or Papa John’s Pizza will be available.
