The Cheyenne Depot is a unique place where history lives alongside the present. The railways have been upgraded to modern standards, yet the depot still maintains and operates steam locomotives. In this video from Travel Wyoming, Ed Dickens Jr., Senior Manager of Heritage Operations for the Union Pacific talks about the steam engine locomotive and the history of trains in Wyoming.

Recently, the newly restored No 844 made some steam on YouTube with people flocking to see this piece of history in action.These are two videos of the same type of steam engine, but they are 76 years apart. This next video is of the restored No. 844 filmed in 2016.

Now here is the same style of a locomotive from Union Pacific, but in a vintage video filmed in 1950.
