Typically, when you think of contemporary urban living, you picture a loft in Denver's LoDo district or a historic upstairs unit in old town Fort Collins. However, there is one apartment in Wyoming that can give those rentals a run for the money.

At $2,000 a month, the 'Penthouse Suite' at 1901 Central Avenue in downtown Cheyenne is the most expensive apartment in Wyoming. The 1,652 square foot space, located on the top floor of the iconic Frontier building also occupied by the 'Suite Bistro', features only one bedroom and two bathrooms.

It sounds pretty pricey for a one bedroom apartment, until you get a look at the inside. The top floor unit is fully furnished, with a fully updated chef's kitchen, concrete and hard wood floors, a fireplace and spiral staircase leading to the private rooftop deck, which also includes a hot tub.

There truly is no other place like it in Wyoming. While a similar property would rent for much more in a larger metropolitan area like Denver or Fort Collins, the concept of urban living has yet to catch on in Cheyenne and other parts of the state. Perhaps this apartment, which will become available in August, will help start a trend for young professionals looking for urban living areas across Wyoming.
