First the speed on Wyoming interstate highways was raised to 80 miles per hour and now internet speed is being raised.

A project to help give Wyoming the fastest Internet speed with unequaled capacity compared to other states will begin east of Casper this month. I moved here from Alaska where they charged a monthly rate for usage and it was kinda slow. To tell you the truth, I haven't noticed Wyoming being super slow.

This is a 12 million dollar project being spearheaded by Governor Matt Mead who is probably tired of his Nickelback videos on YOU TUBE taking forever to download. About two years ago, Mead began working with private sector companies interested in building a world-class cutting-edge fiber-optic Internet backbone across Wyoming. Fiber-optic lines are essentially solid glass fibers about the size of a human hair.
