Time-Lapse Footage of Fire Near Cody [VIDEO]

This is a time-lapse video of the Whit Creek fire just west of Cody, Wyoming. This is just a small glimpse of how powerful these fires can be. You can see these giant plumes of smoke billowing into the sky. The smoke can even be seen from space.

The Whit Creek fire has been burning since August 2^nd. The recent moisture has been a benefit to firefighters. They are not any evacuations, but there are some road and trail closures at Green Creek, Twin Creek, and Sheep Mountain Trails.
