Traffic Crash Saturday In Cheyenne Results in Fatality

At Approximately 11:21 PM, Saturday June 8, 2013, Officers of the Cheyenne Police Department were called to a vehicle crash with injuries in the 4100 Block of Central Avenue. Spokesman Lt. Mark Munari says the Initial investigation revealed that a white 1993 Honda Civic was travelling North on Warren Ave. at a high rate of speed. After Crossing 8th Avenue, the driver lost control, and slid sideways into a tree on the west side of the roadway.  A 16 year old male passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 17 year old driver was transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The incident remains under investigation by the Traffic and Detective Divisions of the Cheyenne Police Department.
