Tribute Bands Rock the Front Range

Wish you could still experience a David Bowie concert?

Holy Holy celebrate the music of the late David Bowie at the Summit Music Hall on Sunday and bands pay tribute to Fleetwood Mac and the Grateful Dead this week.

If you know any Dead Heads, let them know Dark Star Orchestra are playing three nights in Boulder. Also the band Rumours will pay tribute to Fleetwood Mac in Greeley on Friday at The Moxi Theater with an opening band that does Devo songs. Take a look at some of the cover bands playing around the area this week:

• Dark Star Orchestra (recreating the Grateful Dead experience) at the Boulder Theater Thursday, April 14-Saturday, April 16, 8:30 p.m. $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
• Rumours: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute with Jocko Momo, a tribute to Devo. The Moxi Theater, Greeley. Friday, April 15. Doors open at 8 p.m. $10.
• Holy Holy-Celebrating the music of David Bowie with Jessica Morgan. Summit Music Hall, Denver. Sunday, April 17. 7 p.m. Tickets range from $18.75 to $40.

Also, the opening act for KISS at Cheyenne Frontier Days this summer, Aaron Watson is playing at the Aggie Theatre in Ft. Collins with Kimberly Dunn on Thursday, April 14 at 9 p.m. if you want to get primed for the show.
