These days, there's a tribute band for nearly every legendary classic rock group.  But these guys might be the trippiest tribute act in the country.  "Dead Floyd" is a Fort Collins, Colorado, based band that celebrates two of rock 'n' roll's most imaginative groups, Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead.

They have been touring since 2009 and will return to their hometown for a gig at the Aggie Theater on Friday March 6th. Their unique interpretation of both band's songs, which they often blend together into extended, improvised jams, has earned Dead Floyd a reputation for staging one of the strangest, most unpredictable tribute shows in the Rocky Mountain region.

Dead Floyd will also be headlining this year's Frozen Dead Guy Days festival in Lederland, Co. Want to check out pictures and video of the band live?  Here's a link to their website and Facebook page.
