The Wyoming Highway Patrol is seeking information on a bicylist who left the scene of an early morning accident. Patrol Sgt. Stephen Townsend says at about 6:00 a.m. this morning, troopers responded to a reported car vs. bicycle injury crash near the intersection of Riding Club and Yellowstone Road (WYO 219) approximately 3 miles north of Cheyenne.

Upon arrival of first responders they found one injured victim who was transported by ambulance to CRMC. The injured victim has moderate injuries and remains hospitalized.

From witness statements of those at the scene Troopers have pieced together what transpired. The hospitalized victim was apparently a jogger out for his morning run. A bicyclist riding a dark blue or black "Specialized" mountain bike, who was at the scene when a witness stopped, apparently collided with the jogger in the darkness.

The bicyclist left the scene prior to the Troopers arrival and did not leave a name or any other information. He is described as a white male with short blonde hair, late 20's or early 30's wearing a black hoodie. He may have a facial injury as he had blood on his face.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol would like any witness, anyone who stopped at the scene or anyone who may have information on the identity of the bicyclist to contact Trooper Kyle Mckay at 777-4321.
