U2 played May 21st at Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver to kick off the current leg of their 360 Tour, were you there?

The Irish rockers had some surprises for the crowd at Qwest Field in Seattle recently. Bono dedicated "Beautiful Day" to Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who continues to recuperate from head wounds she received in a shooting in Arizona.

The band's lead singer then said, "Imagine a man looking down on us from 200 miles up. Looking down at our beautiful crowded planet, what would he say to us? What is on your mind Commander Kelly?

Then astronaut Mark Kelly, Giffords' husband, appeared on the giant video screen saying, "Hello Seattle from the International Space Station."

U2's performance of "Beautiful Day" featured additional footage of Commander Kelly reciting lines from the song and an ad lib of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" by Bono on stage.
