Cheyenne police have identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle-SUV collision that happened late Tuesday afternoon.

Police spokesman Officer Dan Long says the motorcyclist who suffered fatal injuries was Cheyenne resident Braden Sauls.

Long says Sauls was riding east on U.S. Highway 30 around 4:50 p.m. when he collided with an SUV that was headed north on Whitney Road.

Sauls was wearing a helmet, but died at the scene. The driver of the SUV was uninjured.

Long says reconstructions are still piecing together the crash, so it's unknown if any charges will be filed against the SUV driver.
