The following is a statement issued this afternoon (11/10) By Gerald Claycomb of the National Weather Service's Cheyenne Office

"Wanted to pass on that we've issued Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories for much of southeast Wyoming and the southern Nebraska Panhandle for tonight through noon Wednesday.  A cold front is currently making its way through southeast Wyoming this afternoon and will bring much colder temperatures to the area tonight through Wednesday.  Main points listed below:
 
Heaviest snow along and west of the south Laramie Range. 4-8 inches for the south Laramie Range to Laramie to Arlington. 2-3 inches for I80 Corridor from Sidney to Cheyenne to Wheatland and out by Rawlins.
 
Strong northeast winds associated with this storm.  North to northeast winds of 20 to 25MPH sustained with gusts to 40MPH will create near blizzard conditions from midnight through roughly 9AM Wednesday.
 
Travel on I80, I25 and area roads will be severely impacted from midnight tonight through the morning commute."
