A 37 year old Craig, Colorado man was killed in a Tuesday afternoon collision on Wyoming Highway 789 near Baggs, according to a spokesman for the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Sgt. Steve Townsend says 54 year old Gerald Nakai of Craig, Colorado was driving a 2007 Peterbuilt Tractor-trailer pulling a pair of empty frack tank trailers in the southbound lane about 15 miles north of Baggs. Townsend says 37 year old Keith Fullenkamp of South Weber, Utah was driving his 2003 Chevy Pickup northbound when Nakai's vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with Fullenkamp's pickup.

Townsend says in the resulting crash Fullenkamp was killed at the scene, while Nakai was transported to a Craig, Colorado hospital. Townsend says investigators are still trying to determine what caused Nakai to cross into the northbound lane.

The accident happened shortly after 1pm Tuesday, according to Townsend.
