If you have spent anytime driving around our state, odds are you have come across a "watch for falling rocks" sign. Every time I see one of these signs, my anxiety goes through the roof, as I think the entire mountain is going to wash me away in one huge landslide. Thankfully, I don't react that way when I see a "Deer x-ing" sign. Even though the odds of hitting a deer are higher than a rock hitting me.

With spring around the corner, the melting ice and snow can make for some unstable conditions on steep slopes. So if you do see a "watch for falling rocks sign," beware the chance something like this happens.
