Street & Alley crews from City of Cheyenne will spray city-maintained gravel streets with Mag-chloride to help keep the dust down. This is a process usually done in the Spring and Fall to mitigate dust. On this, the first of the two day dust control, if weather allows, crews will spray some 20 miles of maintained gravel roads with magnesium chloride.

Drivers are asked to not drive on these gravel roads and alleys for at least an hour after the road is sprayed. But what does mag-chloride do to your vehicle? Here’s a report from WTNH.

If your car or truck gets some mag-chloride on it, a little soap, water and elbow grease can cure that.
