Personally, I’d like to see a Cooper’s Hawk, but a Bald Eagle would be nice too. But Wyoming also has falcons, hawks and other birds that most never see. That can change today.

You may see a Scarlet Tanager that usually has a brilliant red body, black wings, tail, but changes for winter attire when the snow flies. And then there are owls. They’re cool, Tom Petty cool. Dave Grohl cool. I love owls.

Wyoming has a lot of different birds and for those who are open to it, there are groups who appreciate them.

The Cheyenne Audubon Society is hosting a birdwatching field trip today, Saturday, January 23rd at the Woodhouse Wildlife Management Area in Cheyenne. Enjoy the natural beauty of Wyoming and some of the critters we’ve been blessed with, with the help of Cheyenne High Plains Chapter of the National Audubon Society
