If you’re going on vacation outside of the US this summer, you should hear about parents who got slammed with a Wireless Bill for 10s of thousands of dollars, because their kid wanted to stream some Videos.

The 11-year-old boy wanted to watch YouTube videos on a family trip as they crossed from Michigan to Canada.

That’s when international roaming rates kicked in and when they got back, it was to an AT&T bill for $17,476.99.

For now, AT&T appears to be holding firm, but the company has reached out. Otherwise, this family is on the hook for over $17,000.
