Crews from the City of Cheyenne Board of Public Utilities (BOPU) will close water main valves near the roundabout construction at Converse Avenue and Pershing Boulevard at 8 a.m. on Wendesday, October 9th. Spokesman Clint Bassett says the closed valves may result in lower than normal water pressures for homes and businesses between Converse Avenue and Ridge Road and between East Lincolnway and East Pershing Boulevard. .

Wile the valves are closed, nearby water mains will continue to supply water to customers. BOPU crews expect pressures to be adequate for day to day water use. Customers may, however, notice a slight decrease in pressure. To help maintain pressures, the BOPU asks customers to avoid watering landscapes on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Closing the valves is necessary in order to connect new water mains to the water system. Crews expect to reopen the valves and restore water pressures within 24 hours.
