The United Blood Services High School Challenge is coming up--which means Cheyenne is in a teenage Blood Battle!

United Blood Services of Cheyenne and four area high schools are challenging each other this month to see who can get the most donated blood. While each school have a specific day dedicated to teacher and student donations, there's a community day that needs your participation!

  • January 21: Community Day. 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Open to everyone!!
  • January 22: Central High School. 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Open to only Central students.
  • January 28: South High School. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Open to only South students.
  • January 29: East High School. 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Open to only East students.

On Community Day, go to the United Blood Services building in Cheyenne (112 E. 8th Ave. near the airport) and tell the lovely nurses which school you'd like to donate to. At the end of the day, the school with the most blood donations will "win" the challenge.

KingFM and Cowboy Country will be live on-site Tuesday, January 21st at the United Blood Services from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. It's a perfect opportunity for you to not only give blood and help out your community, but to meet Cowboy Country DJ Teri Landreth, as well!

Good luck to all the participants who are giving blood for a great cause and challenging the other schools!
