I never leave on a hunt without a good supply of snacks. Whether that be jerky or trail mix. Thankfully one of our amazing listeners dropped off a batch of meat snacks, just in time for my trip. Brian, you ARE THE MAN!

Brian has made some pretty interesting variations of jerky in the past, but this batch is something like I have never had before. It is simply called Ham and Cheese jerky. My first thought was "HAM JERKY? Never heard of it." Well, needless to say it may be one of my favorites. And, it is so easy to make.

Try it for yourself and take it along with you on your next road trip or outdoor adventure.

Here is what you will need:

  • 3lbs Ham (ground)
  • 1lb pork sausage (for binder)
  • 1 1/2 lbs shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2tsp powdered salt
  • 1/4 cup molasses

Directions:

mix ground ham and sausage well. Add salt and molasses and mix again. Then add cheese and mix until combined. Load mix into a jerky gun and squeeze onto dehydrator trays. Run your dehydrator for 6-7 hours. Pat dry with a towel, and ENJOY!
