Do you have a favorite Halloween song you like to play each year? Let us know what it is and maybe you'll be hearing it on 101.9 KING FM leading up to October 31.

There are lots of spooky, monster-filled classics that have been released over the years. I can think of tunes involving ghosts, witches, werewolves and other horrors. One of my favorites to play each Halloween is the 'Monster Mash' by Bobby 'Boris' Pickett and the Crypt-Kicker 5. The song hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 when it was released in 1962.

When I was growing up, my sisters had the 45 rpm record of the 'Monster Mash' and I think my brother and I wore it out with all the spins we gave it. It's one of those where you know every word and love to sing along, especially the line 'Whatever happened to my Transylvania Twist?'

What song puts you in the Halloween spirit? Let us know, in the comments below or call the KING studio at 778-8800. We'll be slipping in plenty of ghoulish greats over the next week.

Tune in for 'Your Sunday Brunch' from 7 to 10 a.m. this weekend where I'll try to fill you up on scary songs too, let us know what you want to hear.
