Do you have a favorite movie that you like to watch around Thanksgiving?

There are a lot of films with Thanksgiving dinner scenes and a few that are all about the November holiday.

My favorite would have to be "Planes, Trains and Automobiles." The 1987 film starring Steve Martin and John Candy contains loads of memorable hilarious scenes and has some very heart warming moments too. It focuses on Martin's character, Neal Page, trying to make it home for Thanksgiving dinner with his family with help from Candy's character Del Griffith.

For the entire family, you still can't beat "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving." This animated Peanuts special from 1973 proves that there is more to the holiday than just a turkey feast. The gang makes due with a dinner of toast, jellybeans, pretzels and popcorn.

One of my favorite Thanksgiving dinner scenes is in Oliver Stone's movie "The Doors." Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison gets wild at the feast, causing complete chaos. Not unlike a lot of families' annual holiday meal.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving portrayed on the big screen or television?
