For those anglers heading out to find the best fishing, that would be the North Platte River, Grey Reef. A lot of people know that, so it may be a bit crowded, Miracle Mile is almost as good with lures and flies producing results. Wyoming river levels vary in runoff and there are reasons to approach some with caution.

In Cheyenne, The Summer Outdoor Slam is on for Saturday, June 7th 10 – 3 at Curt Gowdy State Park, where children & families can get exposure to nature with free fishing, canoeing, kayaking, climbing, archery, guided hiking also available.

In Casper, kids and families can tease the fish at Yesness Pond, with a schedule that will help ease overcrowding with groups divided by alphabetical order. Families with the last names N through Z will fish from 9:00 and to Noon. Families with the last names A through M will fish from Noon to 3:00 pm. Please bring your own poles and bait if possible.

It’s never too early to introduce The Great Outdoors to our children.

Good Luck!
