Who’s Your Favorite Member of the Rock Hall Class of 2014?

Which inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are you the most excited about?

The Class of 2014 was announced this week and the list includes KISS, Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, Daryl Hall and John Oates and the sentimental choice Linda Ronstadt.I'd have to say my favorite class member would be Cat Stevens. From his often-covered 'The First Cut is The Deepest,' to classics off his 'Tea For The Tillerman' album 'Wild World' and 'Father and Son' and 'Peace Train', Morning Has Broken' and 'Moon Shadow' off his 'Teaser and The Firecat' release. He has written some beautiful songs over the years.

Cat Stevens has led an interesting life, beginning as Steven Georgiou in 1948 and is now known as Yusuf Islam. He had tuberculosis in 1969 and was near death, during which time he wrote some of his most famous songs.

Islam currently tours and is producing new music. A musical by Yusuf features songs from his career, 'Moonshadow,' opened in May of 2012 in Australia.
