I Got a call early last Tuesday morning, to the weak voice of my son in Los Angeles, California. He sounded terrible, having just had emergency surgery and losing 2’ of plumbing because of Crohn’s. A few hours later I was on a jet to join him at Cedars-Sinai Hospital.

Luckily he had great care on the med-side and an excellent circle of friends for emotional support. It took several days for him to get out from under the major effects of his surgical trauma but he finally rallied Saturday when they took the tube out of his stomach, and on Sunday had his 1st solid food.

It was great to see him smile again and take on some solid food, so soon. He’s an amazing young man with great people around him. That's why I was off the air and off line last week.

I hope all is well in your family.
