High winds around our area are not only rearranging our hairdo's, they're closing roads. Dust storms and numerous accidents in Nebraska have closed down Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and the Nebraska border for at least the next 6 hours according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

A high wind warning remains in effect for our area until 7 p.m. with winds out of the northwest at 35 to 45 miles per hour, gusting up to 65.

The winds have knocked down numerous branches around Cheyenne, so be extra cautious driving, especially during this afternoon's school pick up times.
