Its 3 degrees as I write this on a Friday morning. Luckily I left the faucets mounted next to outdoor walls in my house running minimally to keep from freezing. These temperatures can be brutal on plumbing and I don't need those bills. I made sure the animals were all safe and warm inside and then stepped into the cold.

When I opened the garage door, there was light snow that had fallen, almost enough to shovel, but I didn’t. I did find it was very slippery as I headed off to work, losing traction a couple of times.

I also was surprised to find my windows stuck shut. Seems there was enough melt yesterday to cause the snow to turn to water and then overnight, into ice. Watch yourselves on the roads.

Here’s the weather.
