Winter storm warnings have been posted for areas of northern, central and southeast Wyoming, including Cheyenne, Laramie and Lander. In Cheyenne the warning is in effect until 11 a.m. Sunday.

Winter storm watches have been posted for many adjoining areas, including the cities of Casper, Riverton, Rawlins, Worland, Buffalo, Cody, Torrington, Douglas and Thermopolis as well as Yellowstone National Park.

Snow began falling Friday morning in northern and western parts of the state. The Wyoming Department of Transportation says some roads and highways in those areas are slick.
